Pata Prometeon Yamaha Welcomes Official Technology Partner Ampito as Preparations for 2024 Intensify

Hitting the track for the first time in 2024 at Circuito de Jerez from today, Yamaha’s Official WorldSBK team Pata Prometeon Yamaha proudly welcomes Ampito as its new Official Technology Partner.

Lead riders Jonathan Rea and Andrea Locatelli will complete two full days of testing in Spain, sporting the same white, grey and carbon winter test livery showcased in November ahead of the team’s full global online reveal on Sunday at 9am CET (28 January).

Ampito is the first new partner to be unveiled ahead of the official launch, which will see the #65 and #55 Yamaha R1 WorldSBK machines feature some exciting new partners alongside headline sponsors Pata Snack and Prometeon.

Like the team, the Ampito Group has high expectations for 2024 and will use the WorldSBK platform to help grow its global footprint in providing leading IT services and digital workplace solutions – with the same commitment to excellence and delivery as Yamaha in WorldSBK.

With just four days of testing remaining in Europe before freight leaves for Australia, no stone will be left unturned in the search for performance ahead of the opening round in Phillip Island next month.

A further update on the test programme will be released tomorrow evening following the second day of running at Jerez – Rea’s third opportunity to get more acquainted with his #65 R1 WorldSBK as Locatelli prepares for his fourth year in WorldSBK alongside new Crew Chief, experienced development engineer, Irishman Tom O’Kane.

Paul Denning – Team Principal, Pata Prometeon Yamaha:

“This is probably one of the most exciting seasons to come in WorldSBK history, with our team once again one of the expected ‘main protagonists’. With the support of our returning partners as well as the addition of Ampito as Official Technology Partner in 2024, we have further strengthened our platform to take the fight to our competitors in search of victories and the WorldSBK Championship. I would like to thank Manny and the Ampito Group for their commitment and trust in joining the team this season – we can’t wait to get started in Australia, but first we have a thorough test programme to complete here in Jerez and next week in Portimao to confirm the performance steps made over the winter.”

Manny Pinon – Founder, Ampito Group:

“We are excited to partner with Yamaha’s Official WorldSBK team in 2024. This partnership represents a thrilling convergence of cutting-edge technology and high-performance racing, via a highly accessible production-based series that has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years with some of the best action in the world. As the Official Technology Partner, Ampito is poised to elevate its global presence and showcase our commitment to excellence. Yamaha’s Official WorldSBK team provides a perfect platform to demonstrate the synergy between speed, precision, and advanced technology.”
